"GHOST'S EYE VIEW"
These images are from my early works, created between 2014 and 2019, depicting uncanny landscapes that evoke half-remembered dreams.
The series explores the threshold between reality and illusion, where the physical world blurs into the spiritual.
Back then, I sought to define my inspiration, and the phrase that clicked was the "ghost’s eye view" I began to wonder: if a ghost were to look at our physical world, how would it appear? This led me to develop a visual language for what I call the “intermediate realm”—a space suspended between existence and non-existence. This concept echoes traditional Japanese aesthetics, such as Noh theatre, which portrays the subtle interaction between the spiritual realm and our own. These early explorations eventually evolved into my later Skyscape and Higan series.
